New 2019-2020 Award Deadlines for Local and State – Take Note

Due to the Annual Conference in Reno, falling on March 31 – April 3, the Members and External Relations (MER) committee has moved the deadlines of the 2020 Awards program.
June 1 – Awards program goes live at awards.cwea.org.
If you have changes to make to your committee awards, please send to Megan Barillo no later than May 15.
December 9 – Final local section winners are due to CWEA.
Local Sections will need to decide on the winners of their awards by this date. Either by sending the winners list to Megan Barillo or selecting the winner inside the judging portal of awards.cwea.org.
December 12 – Section winners are sent to committees for state review.
Committees will receive all section winners for review as well as all CWEA and WEF nominations that are not sent via the Local Section.
February 10 – All state winners (from committees) due to CWEA.
Committees will need to decide on winners either by selecting their 1st, 2nd and 3rd (where applicable) place winners inside the judging portal or sending to Megan Barillo.
February 17 – 21 – MER approves winners; winners are notified; plaques are ordered; AC materials finalized.
The selected winners must be approved by the MER committee before nominees can be notified. Nominees will be notified by email by the MER chair and invited to attend the Annual Conference at the early bird rate.
Plaques for outgoing committee chairs should be ordered the same week.
March 16 (TBD) – Award plaques delivered to conference site
